Olive festival 2011

The 17th Olive Product Festival will be held after Succoth.
During the festival the Israeli olive conference will be held for the first time with the cooperation of Tel Hai College

The olive product festival sponsored by the Authority for the Development of Galilee and the olive council will take place during the olive picking season at 26.10-7.11.11 all over Galilee, Golan and valleys.
The year, for the first time, the Israeli olive conference will take place during the festival with the cooperation of Tel Hai College. The conference will encounter the different interest parties in the Israeli olive industry and will raise strategic discourses that are related to the development of the industry and the whole field.
Another important conference will take place in Sachnin- Sachnin Conference with the presence of the President of Israel, Shimon Peres that will discuss the subject of co- existence, development and promotion of the Arab sector.
During the festival there will be many sites that will have touristic activities such as: tours in oil presses, musical shows, participation in olive picking, farmers' fairs, workshops and more.
Many artistic attractions are waiting for the festival guests- creators' exhibitions, art exhibitions, photograph exhibitions and many walks, guided tours and bicycle routes all over Galilee.
During the festival days, the Israeli crowd will have the opportunity to participate in a unique Israeli celebration for all the family. This year the festival will be celebrated marking a "Mediterranean experience" in which the olive is the element that connects between people living in the Mediterranean Basin.
While having varied activities, there will be a special effort to enhance the awareness of purchasing Israeli Galilean olive oil produced by the oil producers participating in the festival.
The festival is being held with the support of the Authority for the Development of Galilee and with the cooperation of the olive council and will be produced this year by BIC Ltd.- a Galilean company specializing in producing multi- cultural projects in Israel and all over the world.
