An exposure weekend to the Cercassian culture in Kfar Kama
The free tour program “Have you visited” continues its success every week/ This week (5-6.7) the program is reaching Kfar Kama in the Lower Galilee, one of the two Cercassian villages in Israel and is offering a fascinating exposure to an ancient culture.
The Galilee Development Authority and the successful project “Have you visited” invite you to a guided three hour tour in the Druze and Cercassian villages in Galilee and Carmel. The tour is guided by professional guides that know all the charming hidden and known areas in the village. Come and discover the charm in the villages, the special people in every place, the authentic food of every community, the sites and the colors. The tour enables a look into rich cultures, costumes and characteristics of the Druze and Cercassian communities in Israel and enriches your knowledge and your taste. The program received much success and receives very good responses from the participants. Every week hundreds of people come to the tour and enjoy, free of charge from experiential and fascinating tours.
This week the program is coming to Kfar Kama in Lower Galilee, one of the two Cercassian villages in Israel. YasminTachaho from the Cercassian Legacy Center prepared for you a tour that will start with an experiential lecture about the culture, costumes, the meaning of the Cercassian dances, an explanation about the Cercassian language that was kept and people talk it in the village, the costume of “kidnapping” the bride for wedding and more. After the lecture there will be a guided tour among the items in the museum that enable us to look into the fascinating story of the Cercassians. The experience will complete with a guided tour among the alleys and houses in the old village.
The tours will take place on Friday 5.7.13 at 11:00 and on Saturday 6.7.13 at 10:00 and 12:00.
